ACT also sponsors training designed to uplift the skills of Cellular Technicians by providing training in the technical aspects of mobile handset repair.

Where the industry SETA does not have standards for training, ACT will proactively sponsor the development of standards where it believes there is sufficient need.

Approved Training Providers

Recognition of training courses by ACT is dependent on meeting the strictest criteria for course delivery, professionalism and quality of tuition.  Only the courses offered by these organisations are officially sanctioned by the association:
  • SkyShelf Investments CC
  • Intec College  No longer approved, owing to non-fulfilment of contract conditions.  However, students previous registered with Intec and who passed the examination will still have their attainment recognised by the Association.
  • The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), a government-sponsored distance learning organisation
ACT monitors the tuition provided , sets the syllabus and examinations and assists with the preparation of training materials.
